virtual in physics is no the same as virtual in digital terms  and as we
have seen such confusion after leads us astray -- remember w hat was it
called the Whirling Wui li Master -- and then there was  Zen and
Motorcycle Maintenance -- the virtual in question is like a phantom limb
-- If this is so then the  question  becomes what is the nature of the
phenomena experienced when we are immersed by and in this  medium
